Present situation

Nearly all software development plans are handled and realized in the scope of projects. The objective hereby is to realize the project under consideration of the defined requirements and within the limits of the available budget within a certain time frame. The realization of the software development project in this context takes place in the scope of project organization based on the much different roles (necessary for a software development process). Advantages are, amongst others:

  • Clear assignment of tasks, responsibility and authority
  • Employees identifying themselves with the task
  • Cooperation between employees from different business areas to achieve the reduction of interface problems

One of the biggest challenges hereby is the planning, execution and control of projects within a project organization.

Objective/challenge

Different studies show different causes why projects fail. Often, the cause of failure of projects is to be found in the planning and controlling, that is, the project management. This is why NovaTec, amongst others, pursues the following objectives:
